First of all I would like to thank you and Alex for all your kindness and encouragement during my recent visit. Having visited your Maple Durham Studio 4 times and your Spanish Studio 3 times you would think I had said everything that could be possibly said.

What makes your studio so unique and keeps me coming back time after time is your ability to adapt the course and your tuition to help each student get the best from their time with you.

We are all able to develop our own style and paint the things we enjoy whilst learning and supporting each other in the group. As students we learn to incorporate all of your advice and tuition into our paintings. The progress in each student is noticeable day by day and the sense of satisfaction and mutual enjoyment in our accomplishments creates a buzz in studio that is almost visible and makes it a very happy place to be.

You offer a perfect balance of individual tuition to suit each student’s abilities whilst encouraging us all to have fun as it is our holiday as well.

I am extremely happy with the progress in my painting skill’s, you have helped me take a giant step forward which I will be able to build on before returning for more tuition and fun.

Marbella is a smashing base offering many options for walking, sightseeing, local history, beaches and restaurants. I am very proud of my solo walk to Puerto Banus and boat trip back to Marbella. I am certain I will be back to see you again, in the meantime, I have many happy memories of my time in Spain and of course my pictures. Thank you once again

First of all I want to say a big thank you to both of you for your kindness, care and encouragement  during my wonderful holiday last week.  From the moment Alex took my case from me as I arrived at the airport, to the moment he handed my case to me and left me at a very convenient spot in the  airport departure hall, I felt that I was with friends who were caring for my welfare.

I went to my art club yesterday. The members were all impressed with what I had achieved in a week.  They loved the booklet showing photos of my week and they all crowded round to see my paintings. I told them about my experiences each day and how much I felt I had learned. As I told you, I was very nervous before I came but I soon felt at ease, as you took us down to the quiet beach on the first morning, Caroline. You were always so encouraging and made me feel that my efforts at drawing and painting were of value.  I loved each day spent with one or both of you.  Each day presented a different challenge in a different area. Anyway, thank you both again for all your help and encouragement.  I feel I have so much whirling round in my head, that I must quietly think about then put into practice in my paintings.  Fortunately I arrived home to brilliant sunshine, although it's not as warm as Marbella.  I am giving serious thought to returning later in he year. 'I can honestly say this is the best painting holiday. Do you know how 'genius' your set up is? Totally original I think. You have everything. Great location, wonderful hotels, great teaching (very great!) fantastic studio - so billiantly located - so I could go for a swim at 4.0pm and come back and paint for another couple of hours. Then in the evening go with the group on a wonderful walk - stopping off at a whole range of bars in enchanting settings. (We didn't ALL drink beer!!) Walk on the beach and watch others having a 'run' on the Paseo Maritimo every morning!

Honestly they say small companies innovate and larger ones imitate - and whoever had this idea is a genius!! To be able to sketch/draw or paint on location and then do some real painting in the studio was fantastic for me - and I know for everyone else. Large, light and well 'stimulating'. As one of the first people to experience a painting holiday at JoeDaisy Spain may I congratulate you on achieving almost the impossible.The studio is cool and fully equiped. The location is memorable and very Spanish. The tuition, as ever, is second to none. The whole experience was life changing. I hope to return again and agin and again. Margaret September 2008

This is the best painting course. I'm a serial course taker and NEVER have I had so much quality and revealing teaching. Not just that but the whole package - the studio, the village, the food, the welcome, the individual personal space, the feeling of being valued and not another number - I just didn't want to leave. I am SERIOUSLY thinking of moving nearer to you, my whole life feels as if it has changed by a chance encounter of the web site and then Caroline and her team. Phew, just amazing and life changing??? (wanted name witheld).
