COURSE PROGRAMME - SAMPLE WEEK - Course will vary according to the Month - we don't want you overheating on location!!
MONDAY
Arrive 9.45-10.0am Refreshments. Meet your fellow artists.
Introduction to JoeDaisy Studio and your Professional Artist.
10.15am LEARN ABOUT YOUR PAINTS, BRUSHES AND YOUR PROFESSIONAL EQUIPMENT. It's important you understand all the great equipment you will be using for the week - so your artist explains all the paints, brushes, easels, canvases etc.
10.30am WATERCOLOUR DEMONSTRATION.Your artist demonstrates watercolour - all the techniques in the Studio. Plus drawing and composition.
11am ON LOCATION (subject to weather)We go on location to Monda and paint in watercolour.
12.0-12.30am LUNCH a buffet lunch in the Studio
1.30pm A BIG PAINTING in watercolour - either develop your drawing and painting from this morning or we work from photographs.
4.30pm DAY ENDS
COURSE PROGRAMME - TUESDAY
Arrive 10.00am DEMONSTRATION ON ACRYLIC PAINTING Your artist demonstrates acrylic techniques. Examples of famous paintings are given to illustrate tonal values, focal points and composition.
11.00pm ON LOCATION . We make a tonal drawing on location. This is a working drawing from which you will create your acrylic painting this afternoon. Your artists explains how to create abstract/contemporary paintings from landscapes.
12.0-12.30am LUNCH a buffet lunch in the Studio
1.30pm In the Studio Start your acrylic painting with individual attention and teaching.
4.30 ASSESSMENT AND CHAT - DAY ENDS
COURSE PROGRAMME - WEDNESDAY
Arrive 10.0am DEMONSTRATION ON OIL PAINTING Your artist shows you how to paint in oils.
11.0am Start your oil painting which is a Still Life. Still life is NOT boring - your artist shows you how to make them interesting and exciting.
12.0-12.30am LUNCH a buffet lunch in the Studio
1.30pm Carry on with your Oil Painting.
3.30pm DAY ENDS
COURSE PROGRAMME - THURSDAY
Arrive 10.0am This is your choice day. You can come into the Studio and paint OR some people want a day off to explore Spain. So we let you tell us what you want to do.
Paint in acrylics or oils or watercolour - OR
we can tell you all the exciting places to visit in Spain. You might want a day at the beach or a visit to the Picasso museum, or go to Rhonda - whatever you want - we can help!
COURSE PROGRAMME - FRIDAY
Arrive 10.0am Finish off your paintings from the week or start a new one. Paint in whatever medium you want to.
1.0pm Lunch Buffet lunch in the Studio
3.30pm Start hanging your paintings for tonight's Private View.
7.30pm PRIVATE VIEW with wine and canapes.
A very exciting week which gives you the opportunity to learn drawing, composition, oils, acrylics and watercolour. |
